My group was a very hardworking group. Most groups were built off of 3 group members while my group was built off of 2 group members. These group members were Leah and I. We knew it would be very challenging for us so we made sure we pushed ourselves to our limits. We have very good chemistry. We have been group members a lot in the past projects. We understand each others strengths and work ethics. Knowing this we divided the work equally. I knew I had to apply a lot of effort to my work. I put a lot of time into the zine and made sure it was publish worthy. We had many drafts due to the helpful feedback from our peers. Leah had past experiences with the roman catholic church so she definitely played an important role in this project. We both had great ideas which later took affect in our work. Our collaboration as a whole influenced this project greatly.
I really enjoyed learning a lot about the 15th - 16th Century Roman Catholic church, being Catholic myself I encountered a lot of actions they have done. The church was often seen as a government and was in control of everybody at the time. Most governments give you a penalty if you were to ever disobey them and that was exactly what the church did. If you were to disagree with the church you would be burned on a stake in front of many people. If you were a supporter of the church you would be expected to work on church land for free and this could easily lead to the church taking advantage of you. Not only that, but it would take up your own time to work on your land. The british taxed the Americans and the church was very similar. They have collections during mass and if you are not to pay you were told you would go to hell. Back then many people believed it and that was the way they maintained their power. Through fear and Violence. I also learned the importance of censorship on this world. Censorship is a very necessary thing for earth. If nothing is censored, who knows some of the things that will be pumped out of radio, television, news, ect. All people are not able to self regulate and this can pose a problem when a mixed crowd is being addressed. What’s done is done to make people happy. Not everyone wants to hear profanities everywhere and see nude bodies in magazines. We have to think about the majority of the public including kids. Eventually I think censorship won’t be such a big issue but we’ll ease into that as a society when the time is right. Censorship should not be excessive, but it should always be around.
I learned a lot in physics. We learned about thermodynamics and phase changes. It was interesting to hear how things phase change through different "phases". Things can go from solids to liquids to gas's all depending on their temperature. We also did a phase diagram, which was what a normal phase diagram would look like, except of phase changes, it showed how the story of Fahrenheit 451 unfolded, and who was the most secluded all the way to who was the most free character in the book. It was a very creative way to merge to two classes together. Can't wait to learn more.
I really enjoyed Engineering for this project. We made a stirling engine out of raw materials such as cans, coat hangers, balloons, and foam. Not a lot of the engines work but it was very fun and challenging to make. I had a lot of success but I also had a lot of fails. I worked on the crankshaft and that was the most frustrating thing I worked on. I would bend it to little or to much and it really got to me. But after a while I persevered and tried really hard to complete it. I finished it and it turned out really good. After that we built the whole engine and it turned out great. It looked very clean and you could tell we really put effort into it.
Exhibition turned out great. We completed everything and I was proud to present all my work. A lot of people loved my zines and it made me enlighten. My stirling engine received a lot of compliments even though it didn't work as well as we wanted it to. We were given feedback from the parents as well. Our presentation turned out awesome. Tons of people were eager to learn about the catholic church and that encouraged me to present the best I could. I hope the people that listened to me left the exhibition knowing they learn something new every exhibition. I feel I played a very important part of the group. I entered this project with strengths I took advantage of. I organized my group a schedule to figure out who is doing what. This ended up being very successful seeing our final products.

I feel my strongest learning outcome would be Collaboration. I've always had good teamwork when it comes to old teammates. I know what I have to do to get them to work. When Leah and I want to get stuff done, we get stuff done. We communicate constantly keeping each other updated on our work. I've always worked well with her and will continue to. I feel I need to grow in content knowledge just a little bit more. Before exhibition I ended up learning 100%. But before that I still knew info, it was just at times I was confused with all the sources I've been visiting so I wasn't sure what to believe.
