The three of them manage to get across the border into Wyoming. Nat's father who is a police man believes Callum is a criminal and puts him in jail. While that is happening the Path is trying to raid a small city. Callum breaks out of jail and Nat's father dies in a plane crash. After, Callum blacks out from exhaustion and wakes up to see Nat and Bear. They meet Kate and her friends. They are taking a trip to New York, where Callum's folks used to live.Callum gives Bear away to another family so Bear can be safe. Callum goes back to get James, and ends up back at his old house in New York. :). I think the author made the ending too rushed. In the earlier stages of the book Callum meets a stray dog named Bear. But he gave him away! Since I love dogs I wanted Callum to meet back up with Bear. Bear was very nice to Callum, and Callum really liked Bear. I remember in the text it said when Callum and Bear would have to go on a mission, when they were trying to be stealth like, Bear would always bark and his collar would jingle. So the opponents would know where they are. Bear could have DIED! So it would be too dangerous for Bear. Also I thought the author had to make the ending more exciting. Sort of like have a big final battle at the end and have a very important person die like, James or one of the main characters. Doing this would make it very suspenseful at the end. Jeff Hirsch should make a sequel so everyone would be very frantic to get the next book. I have recommended this book to many people already and will only continue to share its plot with many. I rate this book 10/10 and appreciate it very much!
That's how I wanted the book to end! :) I will comment on Nadine's and Andrew's

Cal has been through a lot since the last post. Befriending strangers who sacrifice their lives for Cal and others who betray him. Still on the run from the path he finds himself in many pickles. He meets a group from the Feds. and asks for help but instead they’d like to kill him. Cal convinces them that they need him in order to survive the paths. They are convinced and were saved by Cal multiple times. He is invited back to their base but is not welcomed by anyone else. Everybody believes he is a part of the path still but one girl named Nat. If I were in the book I’d love to be friends with Cal and Bear. I know I’d feel safe because how insanely lucky Cal is and how he can get out of every situation easily. I feel I’d just keep them both out of trouble because they constantly put themselves in situations that almost seem impossible to escape. If I were that figure I feel would die very soon. The only people I would have a problem with is the path. This because whoever Cal’s enemy is, is mine as well.
I will comment on Andrew's and Nadine's. So far in the book Callum went on an exploration with a commander to find scavengers and supplies. The commander does not trust Callum and threatens him if he tries anything he can just kill him and nobody will ask why. They arrive at an old abandoned drug store and search for materials. Callum doesn't seem safe around the commander attempting to leave with Bear (the dog Cal befriended). The commander caught him before hand and pulled out his gun. He attempted to shoot him but before he could Bear attacked him which stunned the commander. The commander got up and kicked the Bear so hard he hit a wall, he began to cry. Cal got up and grabbed his bat. The commander has shot bear 3 times in his body and then was killed by Callum with a hard hit to the commanders head. Callum carried Bear to the truck they came in and drove back to the Glorious Path’s hideout. He’d like to escape the Glorious Path. Before he left, he thought to himself if he should leave alone or with someone. But he wasn’t sure if he could completely trust anybody at the hideout. He couldn’t but he still thought he should bring someone. So he contacted James to see if he wanted to go and James soon agreed to it. As Cal returned the truck to give BEar some water and food. James returned saying “The King said he’d like to talk to you” as soldiers close in on the truck. Cal knew he could trust James but he is his brother. Cal grabbed James shoved him in the truck and drove. They are now far away from the Glorious Path but James whispers constantly “Path Prayers.” Cal gives up on James and gives him the option to leave.
Cal and James obviously care for eachother. They are brothers and they both put each other first before themselves. They mention they miss the old days as kids. “Imagine what we could’ve done, Imagine what we could’ve been. Making paper planes as the sun goes down. We’d go to school, break the rules, and play hopscotch.” But now it’s different. James believes Cal should face his consequences and return to the Path. Cal knows if he return he will get killed. James has been brainwashed and Cal can’t control it. Cal and Bear are the best duo. They both protect each other and it has shown throughout the book so far. Bear is not looking so good as of now. Shot 3 times and broken ribs. It will be really disheartening to see Bear die. It is sad to think that the only thing that Cal can trust is dog. I recommend that Cal just lets go of James. He has only been holding him back and if it continous I believe James will end up killing him. Cal just please take care of bear. He can use anything as of now. Don’t let this friendship now. I don’t believe James has any effect on the story but if Bear dies Cal will just be a lone wolf struggling to go along with life. I will comment on Nadine's and Andrew's Posts. A civil war rages between the Glorious Path and what's left of the US government. Fifteen year old Callum Roe and his younger brother, James, were captured and forced to convert six years ago. Cal has been working in the Path’s dog kennels, and is very close to becoming one of the Path’s deadliest secret agents. Then Cal befriends a stray dog named Bear and kills a commander who wants to train him to be a vicious attack dog. This sends Cal and Bear on the run, and sets in motion a series of incredible events that will test Cal’s loyalties and end in a fierce battle that the fate of the entire country rests on. Cal is a very courageous, rebellious, and influential character that only makes the story much more interesting. I believe Cal will keep on running and running but he can not hide for long. He is being hunted and once they get their hands on him there is no telling what will happen to him. This book is very unpredictable, which was something I found truly enjoyable. As for now I will continue to read this book due to the amazing plot line.
